This new version has had a redesign with the following:
Mechelectrics Custom Firmware – Exclusive firmware allows this to work on the widest range of models
Reduced Power Consumption – Less current drawn from battery in standby
Higher rated capacitors – No chance of emulator blowing capacitors as with the older designs
Dual layered PCB – Reduced corrosion when used in damp / wet conditions
Compact Design – No messy long wires
30% Smaller PCB – New design has reduced size and weight compared to old versions
Water resistant casing – Sealed unit so no water ingress
This item is designed for the following purposes:
Swap engines which no longer work with existing immobiliser unit (they are paired to engine ECU)
Enable users to remove damaged immobiliser units due to theft damage / recovery
Enable users to avoid high charges from Yamaha dealer for replacing matched immobiliser / ECU unit
Project bikes using Yamaha engine / ECU but no immobiliser (track day safety requirements)
Fault finding by omitting the immobiliser as source of starting issues
This new 6 wire version has the highest chance of compatibility as it uses the full manufacturer wiring schematic which also keeps the immobiliser dash LED functioning (varies depending on model).
Custom firmware flashed in house by Mechelectics to ensure this is the most widely compatible emulator on the market!
If it doesn’t work on your Yamaha model listed below, return for a full refund
Fitting Instructions
1) Simply trace your wiring from your key barrel transponder back to your ECU (usually under the fuel tank or headlight)
2) Unplug and plug in the ‘Plug and Play’ emulator.
3) You can now start your vehicle without transponder in the key
